How To Enjoy Yourself In Huntsville, AL
Huntsville, AL has some excellent places where you can have all the fun in the world. This is a fine city in Northern Alabama with all the charm and beauty only found in the South. Alabama has many beautiful cities with many fun amenities including Birmingham, Mobile, and Montgomery. I have visited Alabama several times in the past and spend quality time in some of its big cities. Huntsville, AL is also quite big being the fourth largest city in the Cotton State and the largest by land area.
One of the things I like about these Southern cities is that they have managed to maintain their culture and social charm while also adapting to the modern world. This means that you get the best of the old world and the best of the modern world here. This is one of the main reasons you will find the finest museums in the Southern states. I am not talking about the giant Smithsonian museums found in the big cities like DC; I mean quaint personal places with an infectious cultural demeanor and fascinating relics. That is what I found in this exciting city. Before I go on and on about the fabulous south, let me tell about all the fun places I visited during my last stay in Huntsville, AL. I even saw some technicians from Allison Tree Services working beside the road and had a nice conversation with them.
Visit The Huntsville Museum Of Art
The Huntsville Museum of Art is one of the most fascinating art museums that I have ever visited. The museum has a fine collection of art from the 19th and 20th centuries. There is art from Asia, Europe, and Africa. But I was very much impressed by the American collection. Andy Warhol and John Sloan are exhibited here. These are featured in the permanent collection. If you are lucky you will catch a traveling exhibition.
Take A Tour Of The U.S. Space & Rocket Center
You can’t visit Huntsville, AL and fail to take a tour of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC). This is home to one of the largest space collections in the world and it is one of the top attractions in this city. This is a fun and educational tour where you get to see all kinds of rockets and missiles.
Stroll Through Huntsville Botanical Garden
The Huntsville Botanical Garden is breathtaking. Set in 112-acre lush green grounds close to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, this Botanical Garden is amazing. There is no entrance fee and the garden is open throughout the year. Whoever provides their Huntsville tree services does a fantastic job. Everything is trimmed and pruned beautifully. You will find the largest butterfly house here. You can also take a stroll on the many nature trails or enjoy the nature center. The garden is huge with many amenities for kids and adults.
Enjoy The Outdoors At The Madison County Nature Trail
This is the best place to seek tranquility and escape the city buzz. The Madison County Nature Trail covers a whole 72 acres. You can take a stroll in the walking trail or go on a picnic with friends. There are several picnic areas and even a pavilion in the nature park. If you love the outdoors as much as I do, this is the place for you.
